Mission: help teachers and children with education
The foundation Kashi Mandir in the Netherlands tries to help teachers and children by collecting money for teaching materials, school uniforms, schoolfurniture, better classrooms, modern technology as a cd-player and computers (for better teaching en better communication with our foundation). We thank our sponsors for this.
Finally our goal is to help them in India with buying land, building a new school and constructing it. Minimal costs for all this are 115.000 euro’s.
Thanks to our sponsors
Thanks to our sponsors 275 children more are going to school; children who otherwise wouldn’t have any education. Total number of students at this moment is 375. A the moment about 60 children are going or did go to any kind of further education, mostly funded by themselves, from a job in tourism.
We are motivated by an old Chinese proverb that says: “Give a Chinese a fish and he can eat, give him a fishing pole and he can eat his whole life.” Good education for a child living in a poor country is that fishing pole. Apart from that: when a fourteen year old child tells you he’s trying hard to become a doctor for his own people, then you know what it’s all about!
