During the years 2014/2015 the schoolbuilding has be completed. The finished school will have 9 classrooms, a big hall, a computerroom, an office, a waterwell and a toiletbuilding.
The total capacity of the school will be approximately 400 students. With the present 375 children we cover the need for primary school education in the village of Old-Khajuraho.
Visit to villages Bamnora en Beniganj
Margriet and Rutger, founding members of the foundation, visited during their working visit in November 2013, together with schoodirector Prabhat and secretary Vidhya, two small villages far from the main road and about 6 km from Khajuraho. In these villages, Bamnora and Beniganj live about 150 children who never have seen a school from inside.
It is quite clear that in modern India children without any school education, don’t have any chance at all. Big wish of principal Prabhat is to bring these children to his school. There has been some discussion with the village chiefs – very important- about this matter already. Only the money is still missing.
These children also to school!
The total costs for providing this education are yearly about € 10000, that is only € 65 to bring one child to school! We only want to start this all when we are sure to beable to continue this for at least three years. At the same time reality tells us that every year of postponing means less chances for the present generation of children in the age of 4-14 years.
We desperately need your help.
